Supported Independent living is one of the NDIS support designed to help a person with a disability live as independently as possible in a shared living arrangement.
SIL includes all supports you need to be independent and learn new skills in a home environment.

SIL pays for a support person to help you with day-to-day tasks, such as: ● personal care, like showering and getting dressed ● eating and cooking meals.
How to include SIL funding in your plan?
When you start using the NDIS, you will have a planning meeting with : an NDIA Planner – someone who helps people make their plans Once your eligibility for SIL has been determined, you are ready to take the next steps:
find your house to move in-NASP can assist you find your perfect home- to check our vacancies: http://nasp.com.au/vacancies/
find a housemate-NASP will assist you to find a housemates who has the same interests and goals as yours.
Submission for SIL funding- NASP will stablish the Roster Of Care designed four you to make sure ,all supports you need is covered. NASP will make sure you are happy with your (ROC) before submitting it to NDIA.
Once NDIA approve your roster of care, you will get SIL funding in your plan and will be ready to move to your new house and live independently.
